Directors
An agent is the person who represents
you, who secures an audition for you. he or she
secures bookings negotiates fees , receives
payment and distributes the money (minus his or
her commission.) A Manager's job is to help you
shape your overall carreer. They also guide
agents in negotiating money for the actor however
,managers cannot directcly secure bookings The
casting director is the one who calls the actor
for an audition ,either directcly or through an
agent, he or she is responsible for the initial
selection of th actors. The Producer is the
person who puts together all the elements of the
production and has a say in who gets booked for
the job. The Director is the one who directs the
spot. Often the directors opinion on which talent
will work best for the spot holds sway.
